Nissan Leaf Paves the Way for Nissan Electric Car Models

Regarded as one of the most reliable and cleanest “zero emissions” vehicles on the road, the Nissan Leaf continues to raise eyebrows. Nissan’s all-electric Leaf is available in S and SV trims. The Leaf Plus adds a third trim with the SL.

The Leaf comes with 147 hp and 187 lb-feet of torque and nets just under 150 miles from its charged 40-kw battery pack. The Leaf Plus features a larger 62-kw battery pack which translates to 215 or 226 miles per charge. Every Nissan Leaf travels via front-wheel drive.

The five-seat hatchback provides 23.6 cubic feet of space behind the second row. With the second row of seats folded down, that number grows to 30 cubic feet. There is also 33.5 inches of legroom for those passengers in the rear seats.

With solid crash test scores, the 2022 Nissan Leaf boasts a host of standard and/or available driver-assist features, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind-Spot Monitors and Active Lane Control. The Leaf SV and SL trims also include Adaptive Cruise Control and Nissan ProPilot Assist which helps with starting, stopping and even steering.

To enhance the entertainment component of the Nissan Leaf experience, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen connects easily to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Fully-Electric Nissan Ariya Scheduled for Late 2022 Release

Coming this fall, Nissan’s all-new and all-electric vehicle, the Ariya, will join the Nissan electric car lineup. With a number of trims to choose from, the 2023 Nissan Ariya will help continue the trend of driving gas-free.

The Ariya crossover SUV will be available in Venture+, Evolve+, Premiere and top-of-the-mark Platinum+ trims. Depending on the trim selected, the Ariya will deliver between 265 and 300 miles per charge. A front-wheel drive on all but the Platinum+ trim, all but the Platinum+ trim delivers 238 horsepower. The Platinum+ iteration hits to the tune of 389 hp.

Every new Ariya will feature either ProPILOT ASSIST 2.0 or ProPILOT ASSIST with Navi-link. These suites of driver-assist technologies are true game-changers with regard to safety and driving convenience.
